Society florist Susan Avery had one of the busiest Saturdays this year, supplying many of the marquees. In the AAMI marquee, the non-stop entertainment incuded stilt-walkers, magicians, and juggling acts.

Susan Avery's fling with flowers began at 15 in Toronto. She is now recognised as Sydney's leading florist. Clientele includes Queen Elizabeth, the Dalai Lama, celebrities, rock stars and politicians.
Her high profile work has included Olympic functions and major society weddings. Susan also conducts lectures and workshops.

On arrival guests were struck by the simple but very elegant décor by Susan Avery. Glass bowls and vases filled with oranges, lemons and limes were placed on scattered tables while others combined the citrus with candles and floated on water.
